The vehicle support project is accepting applications from support organizations on the HiteJinro website until June 4th. Social welfare organizations located in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan, and Gwangju are eligible, and the final organizations will be selected in August through document screening and on-site inspections.
The vehicles will be used for vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone and homebound disabled individuals, and considering the narrow roads in residential areas, compact cars (Kia Motors Ray) will be provided.
This year, a total of 12 vehicles will be delivered, including 10 regular vehicles and 2 wheelchair lift-modified vehicles. To provide assistance to more places, the number of vehicles has been increased by 2 compared to last year. Including this year's 12 vehicles, a total of 66 vehicles have been sponsored over 9 years.
