Russia warns of 'countermeasures' to UK's long-range missile support for Ukraine
Russia has warned that there will be a "corresponding response" following reports that the UK has supplied Ukraine with long-range missiles capable of striking the Crimean Peninsula.
On the 11th (local time), according to local news agencies, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, responded to related questions during a phone briefing with reporters by stating, "Our military needs to take appropriate measures."
Earlier that day, the US CNN network reported that the UK had provided Ukraine with Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles with a range exceeding 250 km. This support is intended to help Ukraine prepare for a counterattack against Russia soon, and it is significant because the weapons can strike Russian mainland territory.
