Gwangyang Youth Dream Center Transforms into a Space for Young Artists
Establishing Utilization Plans for Existing Maker Space Areas
Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced that the Maker Space project operated within the Youth Dream Center has ended, and the space will be transformed into a small-scale exhibition gallery for young artists and a busking performance area, available for rental.
The 'Gwangyang Youth Dream Center' is equipped with seminar rooms, multipurpose rooms, a youth cafe, and a one-person broadcasting room, and is freely accessible to young people.
Various activities such as mentor schools, psychological counseling, and capacity-building education are supported for youth, and over the past two years, more than 24,000 people have used the center, establishing it as a space for youth exchange and communication.
The Youth Dream Center gathered feedback from its users and prepared a plan to repurpose the space, previously operated as a Maker Space, for local young artists.
Youth artists and young people who wish to use the space can apply for rental through the Gwangyang Youth Dream Center website, and the space can be rented free of charge for up to four weeks.
