Dexter Studio Participates in VFX for Film 'Knights of the Zodiac' Release
On the 12th, the film Knights of the Zodiac will make its debut to North American audiences. As a major co-production between the United States, Japan, and Hungary, the project features prominent global VFX studios, with Korean company Dexter Studios drawing particular attention.
Dexter Studios, a company specializing in VFX and content production, announced on the 11th that the film Knights of the Zodiac, to which they contributed VFX technology, will be released in the North American market.
The well-known Japanese production company Toei Animation, a subsidiary of Toei, handled the production, while the British studio DNEG, responsible for visual effects in numerous Hollywood hits such as Inception and Interstellar, and the Spanish Orca Studio also participated. Dexter Studios joined the project as a leading Korean VFX studio alongside these world-class companies.
Park Byung-joo, the VFX supervisor who oversaw the work, stated, "When Dexter Studios was commissioned, there were no specific designs or previsualizations aside from the live-action characters," adding, "We carried out the work by conducting pre-production again after filming." He further shared behind-the-scenes details, saying, "Since productions from around the world participated jointly, we went through a complex process of sharing assets and effects and matching the look."
