Gyeonggawon and Sungkyunkwan University Join Forces for Industry-Academic Cooperation

View original imageThe Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for industry-academia cooperation with Sungkyunkwan University.
On the 10th, the agency held a meeting at the Samsung Academic Information Center conference room at Sungkyunkwan University to strengthen industry-academia cooperation and announced on the 11th that they had signed an "MOU for Technology Development of Regional Specialized Industries."
At the meeting, the two institutions discussed cooperation plans for the "Pangyo AI Industry-Academia Forum" and exchanged opinions on "RISE (Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System)."
Additionally, on the same day, the agency signed the "MOU for Technology Development of Regional Specialized Industries" with Sungkyunkwan University.
The agency plans to hold meetings with the heads of 53 industry-academia cooperation groups in the province within this month to discuss the promotion plan for Gyeonggi-do style industry-academia cooperation.

Kang Seong-cheon, director of the agency, stated, "We will cooperate with Gyeonggi-do to provide strategic university support linked to regional development," and promised, "Going forward, the agency will actively promote practical industry-academia cooperation by establishing a dedicated department."
