Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) is further strengthening the community care network.
Guro-gu stated on the 11th, “To identify and support welfare blind spots, we have trained care workers among local residents over the past two years,” and “This year, care workers are demonstrating their capabilities by participating in the ‘Guro-type Emergency Care Support Project.’”
The ‘Guro-type Emergency Care Support Project’ is a program where care workers directly visit residents in need to provide customized care services.
Guro-gu is fostering care workers and establishing the ‘Guro Mutual Care Network’ at the level of public-private governance involving community service centers, residents, welfare centers, and social welfare organizations by creating the Guro-type Emergency Care Support Project.
The support targets are expanded beyond the criteria of the Care SOS Service project to those with a median income below 120%, including ▲ seniors aged 65 and over ▲ single-person households aged 50 to 64 ▲ persons with disabilities aged 6 and over.
The services include accompaniment support for outings to hospitals, markets, etc., laundry support involving collection, washing, drying, and delivery of laundry, and emotional support such as checking on well-being and providing companionship.
