Ulleung Health Medical Center Opens 'COVID-19 Closed' Inpatient Rooms
Introduces Essential Internal Medicine Equipment, Provides Customized Medical Services
The Gyeongbuk Ulleung-gun Health and Medical Center is fully reopening the inpatient rooms that were closed due to COVID-19. Specialized inpatient treatments in departments such as internal medicine and orthopedics will resume.
The medical center has thoroughly renovated the inpatient rooms. They also plan to operate a "guardian-free ward," providing 24-hour shared nursing care services through professional caregivers for patients requiring inpatient treatment.
They have secured multiple specialists, including ophthalmologists and dermatologists, to offer a variety of medical services. Additionally, they plan to introduce essential internal medicine equipment such as gastroscopy devices to conduct customized examinations. This will reduce the inconvenience for residents who previously had to travel to the mainland for endoscopy examinations.
