Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station Conducts Pre-Registration of Fingerprints to Prevent Missing Children
The Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station conducted a 'Mobile Fingerprint Pre-registration to Prevent Missing Children' program targeting daycare center children.
The fingerprint pre-registration system involves registering fingerprints, facial photos, physical characteristics, and guardian contact information into a profiling system for children under 18 years old, individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental disorders, dementia patients, and others.
In case of disappearance, the registered data is used to help locate the missing person quickly.
