Taeyoungho, Press Conference at 10 AM... Expected to Resign from Supreme Council Position
On the way to work, "Sorry for causing trouble"
Taeyoungho, a Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, is expected to resign from his position ahead of disciplinary action by the party's Central Ethics Committee on the 10th.
Supreme Council member Tae announced that he will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. at the National Assembly Communication Office on the same day.

View original imageSupreme Council member Tae was subjected to disciplinary procedures starting on the 1st due to three reasons: his statement during the party convention that "the Jeju 4.3 incident was directed by North Korea's Kim Il-sung," a Facebook post related to the Democratic Party's cash envelope scandal containing the phrase "Junk Money Sex Democratic Party. Indeed JMS Democratic Party," and the controversy over the leaked recording involving interference in presidential office nominations.
The Ethics Committee was scheduled to decide the level of discipline at a meeting on the 8th but postponed the decision to the 10th, citing the need for additional explanatory materials and further discussion.
If Supreme Council member Tae voluntarily resigns, it is highly likely that the severity of the Ethics Committee's disciplinary action will be mitigated. Ethics Committee Chairman Hwang Jeong-geun told reporters immediately after the meeting on the 8th, "If such a political solution as voluntary resignation emerges, the level of discipline will be as you expect."

It has been two months since I was elected, and I am sorry for causing such turmoil."
