Ministry of SMEs and Startups Launches 'Future Women Entrepreneurs Development Project'
Business Agreement with 16 Participating Schools and Women Entrepreneurs Association
"Supporting the Realization of Potential and the Expansion of Capabilities"
A project to pass on the experiences and know-how of senior female CEOs to future generations and help them grow as women entrepreneurs is being launched for the first time.
On the 9th, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups held a vision proclamation ceremony along with a business agreement between 16 participating schools in the "Future Women Entrepreneurs Development Project" and the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association at the National Assembly Members' Office Building.
This project supports successful female CEOs in helping female students achieve successful startups and employment. It includes special lectures by women CEOs, startup mentoring, on-site corporate experiences, future women entrepreneurs workshops, and global business explorations.
Many members of the National Assembly, including Representative Han Mu-kyung, attended the vision proclamation ceremony to encourage and support female students aspiring to grow as future women entrepreneurs.
Cho Ju-hyun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, stated, "Promoting women's participation in economic activities is a very important task for the sustainable growth of our economy amid low birth rates and an aging population."
He added, "We will take an interest and provide support so that female students, the future generation, can embrace the dreams and hopes of becoming key economic leaders who will lead our economy."
Lee Jeong-han, President of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, said, "Through this project, senior members will share vivid on-site realities and experiences with juniors, passing on the know-how to overcome difficulties."
