Jeongeup-si to Hold 'No Smoking Poster Contest' Until the 17th
The Jeonbuk Jeongeup City Health Center (Director Son Hee-kyung) announced on the 9th that it will hold a smoking cessation poster contest for 4th to 6th grade elementary school students in the district to foster the correct values about smoking and spread a smoking cessation atmosphere in commemoration of World No Tobacco Day (May 31).
The contest period is until the 17th, and the contest content includes topics related to smoking cessation such as secondhand smoke, smoking prevention, and creating a clean environment free of cigarette smoke.
The work size should be 4-chul paper, and the original can be submitted by mail or visit to the Jeongeup City Health Center.

The works submitted during the contest period will be internally reviewed, followed by evaluation by 2 to 3 art teachers from middle and high schools in the district, selecting one grand prize winner, two excellence award winners, three encouragement award winners, and four honorable mentions.
The Health Center plans to exhibit the winning works from mid-next month at the Health Center, City Hall, Jeongeup Station, and use them during various health events to spread positive awareness about smoking cessation among local residents.
Director Son Hee-kyung of the Health Center said, "We hope that through this contest, awareness of smoking prevention and the importance of smoking cessation among youth will be raised, contributing to the spread of a smoking cessation atmosphere in the local community."
