Yeongdeok-gun Successfully Hosts the 26th Children's Grand Festival
Performance, 25 Experience and Play Programs Offered
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held the '26th Yeongdeok-gun Children's Grand Festival' on the 5th at the Yeongdeok Culture and Sports Center gymnasium, with over 2,000 children and families participating to celebrate the 101st Children's Day.
Organized by the Yeongdeok Junior Chamber, the event began with a dance performance by children from Osipcheon Daycare Center, followed by the reading of the Children's Charter, awards for exemplary children, a Team Beast stunt cheerleading performance, a lucky draw, and the singing of the Children's Day song as part of the commemorative activities.
Additionally, the main event featured more than 25 experiences and games that families could enjoy together, including magic balloon making, personalized keychain crafting, a digital bus, low-sodium soybean paste making, 119 safety experience, a no-lose lottery, toy-sharing roulette, and an air bounce, adding fun and memories.
On the day, County Governor Kim Gwang-yeol said in his congratulatory speech, “We will do our best to promptly establish a social foundation so that children, who are the future and hope of Yeongdeok-gun, can grow up healthy and happy, including installing a kids caf? at the Changpo woodworking experience center, relocating and rebuilding Yeongdeok Daycare Center, and additionally installing and operating Yeongdeok village care centers.”
