Attendance at the Joint Seminar on BPA, Busan-Hamburg Port Redevelopment
Busan Port Authority (BPA) introduced the North Port redevelopment project and other initiatives at the "Busan-Hamburg Joint Seminar for Strengthening Urban Regeneration Cooperation," held on the 4th at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce in Germany.
The joint seminar was attended by BPA, Busan City, HafenCity, and Hamburg Port Authority, where they engaged in lively discussions on ▲ the current status and plans for urban regeneration through port redevelopment ▲ sharing achievements for climate-neutral and eco-friendly port development ▲ and strategies to enhance productivity between ports using ICT technology.

They also introduced plans to establish a fully automated terminal at the Busan New Port's Seacon Pier (phases 2 to 5), scheduled to open this year.

Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, said in his congratulatory remarks at the joint seminar, “I am very pleased and honored to introduce the excellence of Busan Port, the site of the North Port redevelopment project and a candidate venue for the 2030 World Expo, here in Hamburg.” He added, “I hope that Busan and Hamburg ports will maintain continuous relations and achieve mutual development.”
