A similar incident occurred at a high school graduation party in Houston, Texas, where a 16-year-old male died.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. that day, with the shooting occurring outside the house. The deceased student reportedly had an altercation with the father of a female student attending the party before the shooting.
The police said, "During the gathering, a shooting occurred outside the house (party venue), injuring a 16-year-old white boy," adding, "Medical personnel provided emergency treatment on site, but it was ineffective."
The father of the female student who fired the gun claimed self-defense to the police, and local media reported that no charges have been filed yet.
