Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyungho) is holding a special online policy contest under the theme “Collective Ideas for a Better Happy Gwangjin” until the 31st of this month.
This contest focuses on creating a pleasant and comfortable urban environment and promoting Gwangjin as an attractive place people want to revisit.
The contest themes are ▲Urban decluttering ideas for a safe and clean Gwangjin and ▲Tourism content ideas for a hip Gwangjin that people want to come back to. Participants should select one of these proposal types and submit their reasons and detailed project plans online.
Individuals or teams of up to four people interested in Gwangjin district administration can participate in the contest.
Those who wish to participate can submit proposals directly on the Gwangjin-gu website or download the proposal form, fill it out, and submit it via email. However, only one submission per person (or team) is allowed, and if duplicate proposals are received, only the first submission will be accepted.
This special contest will be conducted in two stages: the first round is a document screening, and the second round is the final where proposers present and answer questions from judges. Proposals selected in the first round will advance to the second round, where outstanding proposals will be finally selected and awarded.
The results of the first round will be announced on the district website in June, and the final outstanding proposals will be announced at the second round event in July.
The judging panel will comprehensively evaluate proposals based on ▲feasibility ▲creativity ▲efficiency and economy ▲scope of application ▲effort, and rank the outstanding proposals accordingly.
Selected outstanding proposals will receive awards and prize money as follows: ▲Gold Prize (1,000,000 KRW) ▲Silver Prize (500,000 KRW) ▲Bronze Prize (300,000 KRW) ▲Encouragement Prize (200,000 KRW) ▲Effort Prize (100,000 KRW). Prize amounts and the number of winners may be adjusted depending on the judging results.
