The author, Mr. A, said, "As the forecast predicts heavy rain nationwide during the Children's Day holiday, posts offering to transfer camping reservations using the excuse of a sick child are flooding secondhand trading sites," and attached related posts.

View original imageThe attached transfer posts state that the camping site reservation is being transferred for one night from May 5 to 6 or for two nights until the 7th. Those who posted the messages all explained the reason for not being able to go as "the child suddenly got sick."
In response, one netizen pointed out, "The whole nation knows it will rain during the holiday, so will this game of hot potato really work?"

Other netizens also expressed critical reactions such as, "For parents, the excuse of a sick child doesn't work," "Words become reality," "Is the child expected to be sick on Children's Day?" and "Why say the child is sick when just transferring the reservation would suffice?"
On the other hand, some said, "Kids are getting sick a lot these days," and "There's a cold epidemic. Our child recovers but then catches it again," suggesting it might be genuine. They explained that since the COVID-19 mask mandate was lifted, colds that were previously rare have been continuous.
Meanwhile, the Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted heavy rain nationwide from the start of the holiday on the 5th through the 6th. Expected rainfall amounts are △50?150mm near the southern coast, Jeju Island, and around Jirisan △30?100mm in the central region, Jeolla area (excluding the southern coast), northern Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam area (excluding the southern coast), and the five western islands △20?60mm in southern Gyeongbuk and Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
This rain is also expected to be accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds. Strong winds exceeding 20 m/s are expected along the coast and inland, and over 25 m/s in mountainous areas.
