Police Plan to Investigate After Victim Student Recovers
In Taean, Chungnam, a video showing a middle school student assaulting a junior has been circulated online, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to Yonhap News on the 3rd, a video shared on social media shows A (14), a middle school student, being unilaterally assaulted by B (15) in an underground parking lot in Taean on the 30th of last month.
In the video, B mercilessly kicks A's face while A is lying on the ground unable to control her body. B repeatedly kicks A's chest and back and pulls her hair or slaps her head with an open hand. The students nearby either watch passively or laugh at the assault.
A is currently receiving hospital treatment for a fractured nasal bone and orbital fracture.
Police investigation revealed that A is a junior to B, and both belong to the same group of friends at a middle school in Taean.
