National Library of Korea Operates 2nd Term of Youth Digital Volunteer Group 'It(IT)da'
The National Library of Korea under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold the inauguration ceremony and workshop for the 2nd term of the Youth Digital Volunteer Group ‘It(IT)da’ on May 3rd from 1 PM to 5 PM in the main conference room of the Digital Library at the National Library of Korea.
The Youth Digital Volunteer Group ‘It(IT)da’ is composed of young people aged 19 to 34 who are interested in bridging the digital divide among middle-aged and older adults. The 1st term was piloted last November to support practical training for middle-aged learners who are not familiar with using digital technology. The volunteer group provided one-on-one or small group practical training support.
This 2nd term volunteer group workshop will include training to strengthen volunteer skills such as video planning and shooting, Premiere Pro editing, and a tour of the Digital Library’s immersive reading room.
The 2nd term volunteer group was selected through an open recruitment and screening process from March 31 to April 14, with a final 15 members chosen. They will engage in a total of 60 hours of practical support activities for the middle-aged creator training course until August 17. Volunteers who participate for more than 30 hours will receive a certificate of completion and a volunteer confirmation letter.
