Drunk Police Officer Involved in Electric Scooter Accident This Time
A police officer who rode an electric scooter while intoxicated and crashed into a curb was caught following a citizen's report.
On the 3rd, the Daegu Gangbuk Police Station issued a fine notice to Officer A, affiliated with the Northern Police Station, for violating the Road Traffic Act.
A is accused of riding an electric scooter around 11:45 p.m. the previous day in the Donam-dong area of Buk-gu and crashing into the road. Officer A was caught after a passerby who witnessed the accident reported it.
At the time of the arrest, Officer A's blood alcohol concentration was reportedly at a level warranting license cancellation. Currently, Officer A is receiving treatment at a hospital for injuries including fractures.
