Namwon-si Signs Agreement for Private Operation of Public Sports Facilities
Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 3rd that it has signed an agreement with the Namwon City Sports Association and the Namwon Hub Sports Club for the private consignment of public sports facilities.
Under this agreement, starting this month, the indoor swimming pool (table tennis hall), indoor badminton court, soccer field, and jokgu field within Namwon Comprehensive Sports Town will be operated by the Namwon City Sports Association, while the Ibaek Namwon Culture and Sports Center (Ibaek-myeon) and the multipurpose field within Namwon Comprehensive Sports Town will be managed by the Namwon Hub Sports Club.
Each corporation (organization) plans to provide high-quality services to citizens through the diverse on-site coaching experience of professional sports instructors, enhancing user satisfaction with specialized training programs and customized operation methods.
Additionally, the Namwon City Sports Association plans to focus on improving service quality by conducting user safety education, promoting job-specific training to enhance professionalism, and benchmarking advanced sports facilities to activate safe community sports and improve the quality of healthy living for citizens.
The Namwon Hub Sports Club aims to contribute to the development of both community and elite sports by operating specialized sports programs and professional athlete classes for each discipline, assigning excellent instructors (former athletes and national representatives) to public sports facilities, allowing users to access high-quality and diverse sports welfare services at affordable costs.
A city official stated, “This agreement with sports corporations (organizations) was made to provide comfortable and safe public sports facilities to Namwon citizens,” adding, “We will do our best together with both corporations (organizations) to offer citizens a high-quality sports environment.”
