Gyeonggi-do Excelled in Providing Public Data Last Year... 'Excellent' for 2 Consecutive Years
Gyeonggi Province was selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years in the '2022 Public Data Provision Operation Status Evaluation' conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Public Data Provision Operation Status Evaluation comprehensively assesses about 570 organizations annually, including central administrative agencies, local governments, and public institutions, across five areas: data management system, opening, utilization, quality, and others (adjustments), using 16 indicators, and classifies them into three grades: excellent, average, and insufficient.
Gyeonggi Province scored 90.81 points, higher than the national metropolitan local governments' average (71.43 points), achieving over 90 points again in 2021, and was selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years.
Programs for opening and activating public data, the vision for digital transformation and discovery of core tasks, the commitment of institutions and heads to promote utilization, cooperation in open data linkage services with KakaoNavi and Tmap to enhance open data usability, public data utilization and analysis idea contests, and data industry workforce development projects received excellent evaluations.
