On the 21st, the Imun-dong Samik Apartment Remodeling Housing Association announced that on the 6th, they received notification from Dongdaemun-gu Office that the safety inspection grade was B, allowing for an extension-type remodeling. Remodeling projects are classified into five safety inspection grades from A to E, and projects can proceed from grade C or higher.
Based on this result, the association and the contractor, KCC Construction, plan to expedite the remodeling project. Built in 1997, Imun-dong Samik Apartment will be transformed from its current scale of 353 households to 405 households by adding 52 units through this remodeling project. The additional 52 units will be sold to the general public.
Recently, KCC Construction has emerged as a leader in remodeling projects by securing various remodeling contracts besides Imun-dong Samik Apartment. In March 2021, they succeeded in entering the remodeling market by winning the contract for Suji Hanguk Apartment located in Pungdeokcheon-dong, Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. Suji Hanguk Apartment is undergoing an extension-type remodeling to build 478 households. Currently, they are preparing for architectural review and planning relocation simultaneously.
