Polaris Office Expands Partnership with Naver Whale Browser Integration...
Polaris Office announced on the 21st that it has integrated a web-based office software solution with the Naver Whale browser, offering not only document viewing but also editing and saving functions.
Naver Whale browser users can now utilize 'Polaris Office Web' to edit documents such as Hangeul (HWP) and MS Office files without installing any additional programs. This makes document work more convenient directly within the Naver Whale browser interface.
Polaris Office and Naver Whale plan to provide users with a wider range of services to expand the web-based document software market. Based on the 'User First' philosophy, they aim to maximize synergy by combining Naver Whale’s diverse user base across various age groups with Polaris Office’s 122 million users worldwide.
Web-based document software offers the advantage of easy document creation and sharing anytime and anywhere, enabling fast document processing. Utilizing cloud technology, document storage and sharing are simplified, and work can be performed across various devices and platforms, allowing users to work freely even in remote work environments.
A Polaris Office representative stated, "In today’s society where remote work is frequent, the necessity and role of web-based document software are expected to grow further. Previously, only viewing HWP and MS Office documents was possible on the Whale browser through the viewer function, but now free document editing is also available."
They added, "We will strive to lead the web office market proactively to enhance user experience. These efforts will create new markets and help users perform their tasks more easily and conveniently."
