Man in his 40s Arrested by Police for Methamphetamine Use in Hotel After Changing Location
A man in his 40s was arrested by the police for using methamphetamine at a hotel in Seoul.
On the 21st, the Jongam Police Station in Seoul announced that Mr. A (48) was arrested and is under investigation for violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Mr. A is suspected of using methamphetamine at a hotel in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, around 5 a.m. the previous day.
Police, who responded to a 112 report about a drug possessor, arrested Mr. A around 8:45 a.m. the same day in Wolgok-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, while he was moving locations for additional drug use.
At the time of arrest, Mr. A was found in possession of unused syringes and some methamphetamine, and reportedly tested positive in a rapid drug screening test.

A police official stated, “We need to conduct further investigation to clarify the details,” adding, “Whether to apply for an arrest warrant will be decided based on the investigation results.”
