A man in his 40s was arrested for assaulting a customer at a mart just one month after being released from prison.
The Gwangju Bukbu Police Station announced on the 19th that they had detained A (42) on charges of assault.
The police determined that A has a history of violent offenses and committed the crime about a month after his release last month, raising concerns about recidivism, and proceeded to secure his custody.
A is accused of hitting B (in his 40s), who was shopping at a mart in Usan-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 12:30 PM on the 16th, causing injury.
