Chain Bomb Attacks Occur During Thailand's Largest Holiday Festival
No Deaths Reported in 6 Locations Across 3 Southern States
During the Songkran holiday, the largest festival in Thailand, a series of bomb attacks and shootings have continued in the southern region.
According to foreign media on the 16th, simultaneous shootings and bomb attacks occurred on the 14th in six locations across three southern provinces: Narathiwat, Yala, and Pattani.
The attacks targeted military and police-related facilities, and in Yala Province, a bomb was dropped on a bridge where a train was passing. In Narathiwat Province, there was also a shootout during an attack on a special forces base.
