Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital Successfully Hosts Healing Concert for Patients and Caregivers
The concert prepared by Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital to soothe the hearts of patients and their guardians and deliver a message of hope was successfully held.
According to Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital on the 12th, the Ewha Healing Concert April invitation performance was held the day before at the hospital's main auditorium.
The Ewha Healing Concert, held on the second Tuesday of every month with the heart of "Such a Wonderful Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital," is a healing stage prepared to soothe the hearts of patients and guardians and convey messages of healing and hope.
This April invitation performance was conducted as a piano ensemble Klalang performance of "1 Piano 4 Hands," composed of pianists Choi Yeon-ju and Jo Hye-won, professors at Honam Theological University.
Klalang performed Mozart's "Sonata in D Major for Piano four hands KV381" and Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker," sequentially gifting patients, guardians, and staff with moving and warm memories.
In particular, the unique duo stage where two pianists play with four hands on one piano was enough to receive applause from the audience.
A special event was also held. Klalang continued the emotional stage with an encore performance of a piece arranged by Professor Guk Hyun of the Department of Pharmacology at Chonnam National University Medical School, a physician-composer better known overseas than in Korea.
Meanwhile, the Ewha Healing Concert, held for the third time this year, is named "Ewha" to signify that it is held every second Tuesday of the month. The name combines "E" meaning "so good" and "Hwa" from Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital.
The first concert in February featured baritone Professor Bang Dae-jin from Chonnam National University and his students, and the March performance was held with mezzo-soprano Kang Yang-eun, honorary professor of the music department at Honam Theological University, and pianist Na Won-jin, music coach of the Gwangju Opera Company.
