The police conducted a search of the residence of the suspect, who was arrested on suspicion of being the mastermind behind the 'Gangnam kidnapping and murder' case.

On the 5th, the police carried out a search of the residence and vehicles of Yoo and his wife Hwang, located in Suji-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province, at around 4:10 PM. Earlier, at 3:06 PM on the same day, the police obtained an arrest warrant for Yoo on charges of instigating robbery and murder and arrested him in Jukjeon, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province.
At the time of the arrest, Yoo was reportedly inside a department store in Yongin-si with his wife Hwang. Hwang is also expected to accompany the police voluntarily for questioning.

The Suseo Police Station in Seoul secured a statement from the suspects Hwang Daehan (36) and Yeon Jiho (30), who identified Lee Kyungwoo (35) as the main perpetrator and stated that Lee received an advance payment of 40 million won from the Yoo couple. However, Lee is currently denying all charges.
