Yeongam Police Work Hard to Prevent Voice Phishing at Wangin Cultural Festival Venue
Yeongam Police Station (Chief Kim Jong-deuk) worked hard to promote voice phishing prevention by visiting festival sites where many people gather.
Yeongam Police Station announced on the 4th that during the ‘2023 Wangin Cultural Festival’ held from the 30th of last month to the 2nd, they conducted promotional activities such as distributing materials to prevent voice phishing.
As incidents of impersonating financial institutions and government agencies to infringe on individuals' property rights, such as voice phishing, continue to occur, they urged people to avoid financial damage.
Along with this, they provided guidance on adding the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency KakaoTalk channel and subscribing to their YouTube channel, where revised laws and crime prevention information can be easily accessed anytime.
