NewJeans, CM Song 'Zero' Ranks High on Music Charts
Group NewJeans has entered the top ranks of major domestic music charts with their CM song.
On the 5th, NewJeans (Minji, Danielle, Hanni, Haerin, Hyein) ranked 4th on the Melon Top 100 chart with their Coca-Cola collaboration track "Zero."
Released at 6 p.m. on the 3rd, the song performed well by entering the top 10 on various charts within just two hours of release. It reached number one on Genie and Naver Vibe, and ranked 3rd on Bugs, showcasing their strength in digital music.
NewJeans, who swept the top three spots on Melon's monthly chart for the first quarter of this year with "Ditto," "OMG," and "Hype Boy," achieved an unusual feat by also performing well with a CM song.
Their agency, ADOR, explained, "Despite being an advertising song with the brand name directly mentioned in the lyrics, the trendy beat and NewJeans' unique vocal color captivated listeners. The chorus, which parodies a widely recognized folk melody, left a strong impression with its addictive quality."
