BTS Jimin Tops Billboard Hot 100 and Ranks 2nd on Billboard 200
Billboard 'Artist 100' No.1
Group and Members All Top Billboard Main Singles Chart
Jimin of the group BTS topped the detailed charts following his No. 1 position on the US Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100' and No. 2 on the main album chart 'Billboard 200.'
According to Billboard on the 4th (local time), the title track "Like Crazy" ranked No. 1 on both the 'Digital Song Sales' and 'World Digital Song Sales' charts.
It placed 2nd on the 'Global 200' and 'Global' (excluding the US) charts, and 35th on the 'Streaming Songs' chart.
Additionally, besides "Like Crazy," other tracks from the solo album performed well on the 'Digital Song Sales' chart: "Set Me Free Pt.2" ranked 5th, "Face-off" 8th, "Alone" 12th, and "Interlude : Dive" 15th, showing strong overall performance of the solo album tracks.
Jimin's first solo album FACE swept No. 1 on the 'Top Album Sales,' 'Top Current Album,' and 'World Albums' charts.
The achievement of both the group and its member topping the Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100' is a historic record following the British group The Beatles and the American girl group The Supremes. Previously, BTS has reached No. 1 on the 'Hot 100' six times starting with "Dynamite" in 2020.
Jimin's recent No. 1 on the 'Hot 100' is especially meaningful as it was achieved after Billboard changed its rules last year to count only one download per week and exclude multiple downloads, a regulation seen as a measure against K-pop artists with strong fandoms.
Along with Jimin's success, BTS members' songs continue to prove their steady popularity on Billboard.
In December last year, BTS leader RM's first solo album Indigo ranked 13th on the 'World Albums,' 36th on the 'Top Current Albums,' and 70th on the 'Top Album Sales' charts.
