At 11:53 a.m. on the 2nd, a fire broke out on the 8th ridge of Inwangsan Mountain in Buam-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and the fire department is conducting firefighting operations. The fire started near Jahwa Art Museum on the northeast side of Inwangsan and is spreading toward the summit area.
At around 12:51 p.m., the fire department issued a Level 2 response, deploying six helicopters, 35 vehicles, and 132 personnel to contain the flames. Authorities are restricting mountain access and guiding residents to evacuate as smoke spreads to nearby residential areas such as Hongje-dong Gaemi Village.
