Philopon Re-administered 5 Days After Warrant Dismissal... Nam Kyung-pil's Eldest Son Arrested
The eldest son of former Gyeonggi Province Governor Nam Kyung-pil, who was released after the court dismissed his arrest warrant, was ultimately detained again for using methamphetamine just five days later.
On the 1st, Judge Jo Jeong-min of the Suwon District Court, responsible for warrants, issued an arrest warrant for Nam (32), who is accused of violating the Narcotics Control Act (psychotropic substances). The court stated the reason for issuing the warrant as "the crime is evident, and there is a risk of flight."
Nam is suspected of having used methamphetamine once at an apartment in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province on the 30th of last month. Police, who responded to a family report at the scene, urgently arrested Nam. It is reported that a rapid drug test on Nam's urine showed a positive reaction for methamphetamine.
