Group BTS member Jimin set a new K-pop solo record with his first solo album 'FACE'.
According to the announcement from Hanteo Chart, a domestic album sales tracking site, on the 31st, 'FACE,' released on the 24th, sold 1,454,223 copies, breaking the record for the highest first-week sales (initial sales during the first week after album release) by a solo artist in history.
'FACE' sold 1,021,532 copies on its first day, the 24th, marking the first time ever that a K-pop solo artist's album became a 'million seller' on the first day since Hanteo Chart began tracking initial sales.
'FACE' swept the top spots on Japan's Oricon Chart, ranking number one in the 'Weekly Digital Album Ranking,' 'Weekly Album Ranking,' and 'Weekly Combined Album Ranking,' becoming the first solo artist this year to achieve a triple crown in the 'Weekly Music Rankings.'
