Gyeongnam Office of Education Presents Employees with a "Workplace with Rest" Gift
Craft Workshops, Concerts, Exhibitions, and Movie Screenings
The Gyeongnam Office of Education is resuming cultural and artistic programs for employees that had been suspended due to COVID-19.
The provincial education office announced that on March 29 and April 26, it will operate a craft experience program for employees at the main office on Culture Day.
Starting with the craft experience, various programs such as concerts, exhibitions, and movie screenings will be offered.
The purpose is to enjoy culture in the workplace and to create a healing, recovery, and vibrant work atmosphere by using free artistic expression and creativity as driving forces.

According to the provincial education office, on the 29th, the "Sparkling Stained Glass" program was held in the conference room and book cafe of the second building of the provincial education office.
Participating employees made a sunflower suncatcher, one of the stained glass works by artist Ji Hye-eun, showcased in the 2023 library touring exhibition.
A suncatcher, a decoration made of colored glass pieces and beads hung on a sunny window, is believed to bring good fortune into the home by receiving the positive energy of sunlight.
On April 26, the program "Weaving Time with Fingertips: Rattan Craft" will be held.
On that day, artist Kim Seung-hyun, a member of the International Crafts Association, will teach how to make a "round rattan tray" engraved with Tongyeong mother-of-pearl flowers.
Kim, who was the first in Korea to combine Najeonchilgi (mother-of-pearl lacquerware) and rattan craft in his works, will showcase his new pieces at a solo exhibition in the second building gallery from May 29 to June 12.
