Over 2,400 Shooters Carrying Dreams and Hopes
The opening ceremony of the "5th Changwon Special City Mayor's Cup National Shooting Competition" was held at the Changwon International Shooting Range in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, marking the official start of the competition.
Organized by the Gyeongnam Shooting Federation, this competition will be held for seven days from the opening ceremony on the 29th until April 4th. With four divisions?middle school, high school, university, and general?over 2,400 athletes from 370 teams nationwide will compete in all events of the international competition (rifle, pistol, shotgun, running target).

View original imageThis competition is the first time this year that all events of the international competition are held in a national shooting competition, raising expectations for the athletes' performance.
In particular, this competition also serves as the selection trial for the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, the 2024 national team (level) selection, and the selection of athletes to be dispatched to international competitions. The Gyeongnam representatives for the 104th National Sports Festival will also be selected.
The Changwon International Shooting Range is an urban shooting range equipped with world-class facilities, featuring scientifically designed flow lines and advanced facilities expected to help improve athletes' performance.
