All influencers attending the fam tour operate blog channels with an average of over 3,000 daily visitors. Through the fam tour, they toured Busan’s original downtown attractions such as the Bukhang waterfront space, the promotional center, the Temporary Capital Memorial Hall, Huinnyeoul Culture Village, and the 168 Steps Monorail, all of which are candidate sites for the Expo, accompanied by explanations from professional guides.
The influencers expressed that through this fam tour, they deeply felt the unique charm of Busan. In particular, by visiting Busan’s landmarks that embody the pain of war and the history of rapid growth overcoming that pain, they became even more interested in and supportive of attracting the 2030 Busan World Expo, which aims to share Korea’s compressed experience and technology of rapid development with the world.
Additionally, the influencers are posting and promoting their experience reviews on their blogs, which is expected to further boost nationwide enthusiasm for the bid ahead of the International Bureau of Expositions’ onsite inspection scheduled for early April.
Milla, who operates a blog with an average of 10,000 daily visitors from Gyeonggi-do, said, “I was glad to have the opportunity to participate in the fam tour and see historic sites related to the Japanese colonial period and the Korean War. I want to visit again with close acquaintances and introduce Busan to them.” She added, “I also learned that the 2030 Busan World Expo is not just an event but a meaningful occasion to share Korea’s compressed experience and technology of rapid development from a developing country to an advanced nation, and to propose solutions to various problems humanity faces.”
