Gwangju Science Museum 'Mirror Pond Model Boat Creation Contest' Participant Recruitment
The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 29th that it will hold the "4th Geoulmot Model Boat Creation Contest."
The Gwangju Science Museum is recruiting 30 teams each from the elementary and middle school divisions to participate in the contest until April 28.
Elementary school participants must be in 4th grade or higher to qualify. Participation requires a team of two students and one supervising teacher.
The finals will be held at the Gwangju Science Museum on June 17, following an online preliminary round. Participants will create model boats using the provided motors, gears, and transmitters, combined with materials they bring themselves, to cross the museum's Geoulmot pond.

As for awards, two teams in each category will receive the Gwangju Metropolitan City Mayor's Award and the Gwangju Metropolitan City Superintendent of Education Award, and a total of eight teams will receive the National Gwangju Science Museum Director's Award.
