View original imageIBK Industrial Bank announced on the 28th that it held an on-site meeting by inviting 20 representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) at the Ansan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, as part of strengthening on-site communication by President Kim Seong-tae.
Before the meeting, President Kim visited the business site of Korea AMF, a plating company located in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province. At the visit, CEO Jang Jeong-hoon said, “As the manufacturing industry as a whole is facing difficulties due to the economic downturn, we hope that IBK will play an active role in overcoming the crisis.” During the subsequent meeting, SME representatives expressed various opinions related to export sluggishness, decreased semiconductor demand, innovation in traditional manufacturing technology, and support for startup companies.
President Kim Seong-tae stated, “We set supporting SMEs and small business owners in overcoming the crisis as our top priority and will actively expand both financial and non-financial support. At the same time, we will ensure that there is no neglect in providing support necessary for SMEs to respond to the rapidly changing business environment.” After the meeting, he visited branches in the Ansan-Siheung area to encourage employees and visited Haesung Aida, a leather manufacturing company, to hear about trends in the industry.

Meanwhile, IBK plans to supply 18.6 trillion won in funds this year by preparing support measures for SMEs to respond to the complex crisis, and is providing interest rate reductions amounting to about 850 billion won over three years to reduce financial costs for SMEs.
