Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (Head: Beomsoo Park, hereinafter Hanul Headquarters) held a business agreement ceremony on the 23rd with the Agricultural Cooperative of Buk-myeon, Uljin-gun (Chairman Seungsu Eo) for the ‘Joint Rice Pest and Disease Control Support for Buk-myeon Farmers’ project.

View original imageThe ‘Joint Rice Pest and Disease Control Support for Buk-myeon Farmers’ project is a program that carries out pest control work using unmanned aerial vehicles such as drones. Through this support, it is expected to alleviate the shortage of rural labor in the Buk-myeon area and increase agricultural productivity by preventing pests and diseases.
Chairman Seungsu Eo expressed gratitude, saying, “Following the support for agricultural materials for farmers from Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters, the support for the joint rice pest and disease control project will greatly help reduce management costs for Buk-myeon farms,” and added, “We ask for Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters’ generous support for farmers in the surrounding areas.”
Then, Head Beomsoo Park said, “I am proud that Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters’ support projects are helpful to farmers,” and added, “We will continue to take the lead in increasing the income of farmers in the areas surrounding the power plant.”
