Reserve Officer Cadets' Energetic Start... Dongmyeong University Department of Military Science, 10th Entrance Ceremony
The Department of Military Science at Dongmyung University held its 10th matriculation ceremony on the 22nd at the Central Library Auditorium.
About 140 people attended the ceremony, including freshmen, parents, Do-ing faculty members, and current students of the Department of Military Science. The event featured a congratulatory performance by the Navy Operations Command Military Band.
President Jeon Ho-hwan stated, “To become a leader, a healthy mind and body, a proactive attitude, and the practice of various experiential activities are necessary. We will generously support these efforts.”

View original imageFreshman representative student Moon Dae-han expressed, “Through various motivation programs of the university and department and three weeks of basic military training, I have established confidence and identity,” adding, “I will become a great officer who Do-ing (practices) as a Dongmyung person.”
Na Seung-hak, head of the Department of Military Science, said, “We will foster the department as the nation’s top military science department by offering courses such as ‘Defense Drones and Robots,’ obtaining certifications at the Drone Education Center, establishing a military research institute, and signing MOUs with military units to cultivate customized officers required by the military.”

Prior to the matriculation ceremony, freshmen of the Department of Military Science received three weeks of training in basic drill, reporting and command procedures, calisthenics, and officer written evaluation methods.
