Yoon Kyung-rim, President of KT Transformation Division, expressed her intention to step down from the CEO candidacy to the directors during a breakfast meeting on the 22nd. At the meeting, Yoon reportedly said, "I don't think I can endure any longer. If I hold on, KT will deteriorate further."
The KT Public Relations Office stated that, as of now, "President Yoon has not officially announced her withdrawal from the candidacy." Although there was a breakfast meeting where various discussions took place, President Yoon did not inform the PR office of any intention to resign. Asia Economy attempted to contact President Yoon, but the calls were either continuously busy or went unanswered despite ringing.
