I will erase the traces of pain... Busan Gijang-gun implements self-harm scar removal service
Busan Gijang-gun is implementing the ‘Youth Self-Harm Scar Removal Service’ to support the healthy growth of local youth.
The ‘Youth Self-Harm Scar Removal Service’ is one of the projects under the ‘Gijang-gun Youth Safety Net’ and will be supported again this year following last year.
The project provides customized services such as scar removal and professional psychological counseling for youth experiencing psychological and emotional difficulties due to self-harm scars.
The support target is youth aged 9 to 24 residing in Gijang-gun who wish to have their self-harm scars removed, and applications can be submitted ‘year-round’ at any time.
Applications can be made by the institution to which the youth belongs through an official document, or the youth themselves can apply by visiting in person or via email.
A Gijang-gun official stated, “Youth with self-harm experiences need timely support, so from this year, there is no separate application deadline to allow year-round applications. We hope that all youth with self-harm experiences or scars can receive support and start a stable daily life anew.”
