On the 21st, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 22nd that it held the first briefing session on the preparation status for the successful hosting of the ‘2023 New Bamboo Festival’.
Presided over by County Governor Lee Byeong-no, the initial preparation briefing was held in the large conference room of the county office with about 70 attendees including heads of departments and heads of towns and townships. Each department reported on their progress and discussed measures to address any shortcomings.
The Damyang Bamboo Festival, held for the first time in four years, has changed its name to ‘2023 New Bamboo Festival’ to advance from a local festival to a global festival.
Under the theme ‘Let’s Go Into the Bamboo Forest!’, all public officials are working hard on-site to reexamine the value of bamboo and provide various attractions to tourists.
Along with preparing diverse festival programs, thorough arrangements for parking facilities, various convenience facilities, and safety measures are planned to prioritize the convenience and safety of tourists.
