Muan-gun Implements Focused Working Hours System to Improve Work Efficiency
Implementation of Focused Work from 10 to 11 AM to Improve Work Efficiency
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 22nd that it will fully implement a focused work hour system for one hour every day from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the 27th, aiming at ‘clean personnel innovation and organizational culture improvement.’
The focused work hour system was promoted to maximize work efficiency by working intensively without being disturbed by non-work-related factors during the time when work concentration is highest.
The focused work hour system aims to establish a work culture of ‘working intensively when working and resting properly when resting’ by increasing work immersion and reducing habitual overtime, thereby spreading work-life balance.
Muan-gun has designated the focused work hour from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. during working hours and plans to prepare operational measures for the focused work hour system by refraining from unnecessary meetings, visiting other departments, personal phone calls, internet use, and leaving for rest during this time.
However, even during the focused work hour, civil service processing and urgent work consultations will be handled as usual to prevent any inconvenience.
Additionally, after the system is implemented, all employees will share their impressions of participating in the focused work hour to identify issues and improve and develop the system for successful establishment.
Governor Kim San said, “By operating the focused work hour system, work concentration will increase, enhancing organizational competitiveness, and ultimately providing better administrative services to the residents.”
