Gwangju Lotte Department Store Conducts Environmental Cleanup Activities Along Gwangju Stream Area
Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch (Manager Jeon Il-ho) announced on the 22nd that it conducted an environmental cleanup activity along the Gwangju Stream area.
This Gwangju Stream cleanup activity was organized to raise awareness of the importance of water on the occasion of World Water Day and to minimize water pollution amid the increasingly serious water shortage situation.
Employees of Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch who participated in the event focused on collecting trash left along the stream, such as cans, plastic bags, and cigarette butts, carrying tongs and garbage bags around Yangnim Bridge and Seoseok Bridge.
Jeon Il-ho, manager of Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch, stated, “We will continue various cleanup activities to protect Gwangju Stream as well as the local environment.”
