Ediya Coffee Starts Supporting Apple Pay Payments
Ediya Coffee announced on the 22nd that it will support Apple Pay, allowing customers to make secure payments using their Apple devices at all Ediya Coffee stores nationwide.
When making a payment at Ediya Coffee stores, customers can double-click the side button and then hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near the payment terminal for contactless payment.
Apple Pay is equipped with strict security and privacy protection technologies. When paying with a credit or debit card that supports Apple Pay, the card number is not stored on Apple servers or even on the personal device. Instead, a unique Device Account Number (DAN) is generated, encrypted, and securely stored within the user's device in a chip called the Secure Element.
The Secure Element is a security chip certified to industry standards, designed to safely store payment-related information while complying with electronic payment financial industry requirements.
