Namwon City Holds Tourism Presentation in Seoul... Promoting Chunhyang Festival and More
Jeonbuk Namwon City announced that on the 21st, in connection with the Year of Visit Korea 2023, it held a tourism briefing session at the Korea Press Center in Seoul, inviting over 120 travel industry stakeholders to promote Namwon and create a global tourism city atmosphere.
The briefing session was organized to share Namwon's differentiated tourism strategies reflecting new tourism trends and tourist demands.
At the briefing, Namwon actively promoted its tourism strategies, including the ‘Replus Project’ for revitalizing tourist sites selected through the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's public contest, and the ‘Smart Tourism City Development Project’.
In particular, the session focused on promoting the ‘93rd Chunhyang Festival’ held for five days from May 25 to 29, and the ‘2023 World Drone Racing Championship International Competition,’ the first of its kind held by a domestic local government, as well as sharing various strategies to attract both domestic and foreign tourists.
Deputy Mayor Lee Soon-taek said, “This tourism briefing session was an opportunity to showcase Namwon's tourism policies tailored to diversified and segmented travel trends, serving as a sufficient gateway for attracting tourists.”
He added, “We will actively utilize the various opinions gathered from the briefing session to establish even more creative tourism strategies unique to Namwon in the future.”
