Busan Jungang Library Operates Ibagu-gil Exploration Program
Busan Metropolitan Central Library will operate the ‘Busan Ibagu-gil Exploration’ program in April-May and October-November to promote our hometown Busan by exploring various parts of Busan’s original downtown area.
The program is organized into 10 courses around Jung-gu, Dong-gu, Seo-gu, and Yeongdo-gu, where participants will directly visit and explore the original downtown area of Busan to learn about the history and culture of places they usually pass by without much thought. The program is divided into the first and second halves of the year.
The first half will be held every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. from April 5 to May 3.
On April 5, participants will tour Dong-gu’s Lee Jung-seop Street and the webtoon Ibagu-gil; on April 12, Ami Biseok Village and the Choi Min-sik Gallery in Seo-gu; and on April 19, the Kkangkkangi Village mural street and village museum in Yeongdo-gu.
On April 26, the tour will cover the Jung-gu Film Experience Museum and Biff Square, and on May 3, the Seokdang Museum and Temporary Capital Memorial Hall inside Dong-A University will be visited.
