SBS Golf Launches New Dedicated Channel for KPGA Tour
Operation of 'SBS Golf 2' from April 1
Live broadcast of every round of the Korean Tour
On the 15th, SBS Golf announced that starting April 1st, it will operate a new golf specialty channel, 'SBS Golf 2,' focusing mainly on the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA).
The new channel will broadcast live every round of the KPGA's first division tour, the Korean Tour, for more than five hours each, and will produce and air all tournaments of the second division Srixon Tour and the senior Champions Tour.
As a special program for the channel's launch, SBS Golf 2 will present 'Falling into Golf,' a special talk show featuring Lee Si-woo, selected as one of the world's top 100 golf instructors, Kwon Sung-yeol, president of the KPGA Players Association, and Hong Ran from the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA). It will also air the lesson show 'Swing the KPGA,' starring Kim Kyung-tae, who returned from the Japanese circuit, Kim Hyung-sung, a three-time KPGA winner, and last year's Rookie of the Year Bae Yong-jun.

Additionally, the 2023 Masters will be broadcast live via satellite simultaneously on the SBS Golf channel and SBS Golf 2 during the first week of the channel's launch. The US Open will be broadcast live in June, and the US Women's Open in July. The existing 'SBS Golf' channel will focus its programming on the KLPGA, the women's professional golf tour.
